Let’s look at Abraham and Sarah as their story relates to seedtime and Harvest

King James Bible
Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.

We can see from scripture that God changed His name to Abraham meaning father of many nations yet at the point he was childless
King James Bible
And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.

God changed their names and in doing so changed the course of their lives

King James Bible
And Abraham was an hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him.

Now we can see that Abraham waited 25 years for the fulfillment of God promise of the birth of Issac TWENTY FIVE YEARS
Side note How many of us give up after 25 days on a promise from God and we change are theology to accommodate the circumstances around us Maybe I did not hear from who am I to think God would talk to me anyway this name it and claim it stuff does not work and the list goes on of negative talk until we QUIT which is what the enemy wanted anyway
This is where name it and claim prosperity gospel leaves a bad taste in your mouth
But the truth is you can only name and claim the promises God has already given you
Think this through now track with me on this
For 25 Years they spoke the promise every time they spoke their names
Sarah would say Abraham lunch is ready every time she said ABRAHAM she was calling him the father of many nations and this went on for 25 years they were calling into existence that promise which was given to them by GOD you shall be the Father of MANY NATIONS

Where we get into trouble is when we stand out in our driveway and try to call into existence
A brand-new Ferrari or Porsche Mercedes or whatever expensive car we so desire even though at our present income level we can’t afford it and we try to convince ourselves were speaking by faith that is just silly
Remember Abraham Had a word from God before he acted on it we sometimes act then ask God to speak and that does not even make since

Let’s look a 1 Samuel chapter 30
King James Bible
And David inquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.
We see here before taking action DAVID had a word from the LORD

God has given me dreams and shown me visions of future events in some cases I like joseph had a dream and told my brothers if you will in my case I told family and friends and yes, some laugh some said no way that’s not of God and after many years I have learned not to share the dreams until the appointed times

The board games I spoke of earlier God gave to my wife and I in 1998 and yes it has been a long journey in the early years we shared that dream God Gave Me about the board Games and what God had planned and how it was going to benefit the body of Christ
We had a few men support s with prayer finances wisdom insight direction making contacts with attorneys searching for game designers and the list goes on
MOST simply said when you make your millions remember me
And some just laughed saying GOD doesn’t speak to people like that
And to people like that I now say why is this verse in the bible
Proverbs 8:12King James Version (KJV)
12 I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.

We can all think of people throughout history that have invented products that changed industries and the way we live now as opposed to one hundred years ago due to the advances in technology
Through someone’s invention
Many times, I ask is it too hard for God to give an invention to one of his children
Take a look at History how many Christians and how many Jews have been inventors

Joseph’s story began with a dream at the age of seventeen. He knew the dreams he was having were from the Lord and that they revealed God’s purpose and plans for his life. Genesis 37:6-7 and 9 say,
“And he [Joseph] said unto them [his family], Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed: For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance [bowed] to my sheaf.”
“And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.”
Joseph believed what the Lord had spoken, and he immediately announced it to his family: “God told me that all of you will bow down to me someday!” Some believe that Joseph made a mistake when he shared this vision, but I believe he was simply excited about hearing from the Lord and shared it in simple faith and humility, not arrogance. However, this bold announcement only served to draw his father’s rebuke and feed his brothers’ growing hatred. (Gen. 37:8, 10-11).
Joseph had heard from God. He now had a purpose, or a vision, for his life, even if it wasn’t received by others. You were created for a divine purpose as well! God may not speak to you through a dream, but if you will become determined to know His plan for your life, He will reveal it to you. As long as you can live without knowing His will for your life, you will. If you’re not fulfilled in what you’re doing, even if things seem to be going well, don’t wait any longer; don’t settle for anything less than knowing God’s purpose for your life. The Bible makes it very clear in Ephesians 5:17 where it says,
“Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.”
Not only will the pursuit of your vision bring fulfillment, it will keep you on track. Joseph’s vision kept him on track during very difficult times and when faced with great temptation. Proverbs 29:18 says it this way,
“Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint” (American Standard Version).
Your God-given dream, or purpose, will inspire you, motivate you, and help restrain your flesh in the absence of any evidence that it’s coming to pass. And don’t be surprised if some of your fiercest opposition comes from those close to you. It did for Joseph.
Joseph understood that what God had spoken to him and declared about him was true no matter what the circumstances indicated.Genesis 39:2 is one of my favorite verses in all of Scripture because it defies the logic of Joseph’s circumstances. It says,
“And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.”
God’s Word declares that Joseph was “a prosperous man.” This was at a time in his life when He was serving as a slave! His own brothers had sold him into slavery and told his father he was dead. No longer the wealthy, well-dressed, favorite son, Joseph found himself on an auction block in a foreign land, stripped of everything—including his clothes. His rich Egyptian master stood beside him with all of the extravagance that came with abundant wealth, but the Bible forever records Joseph as being the truly prosperous one. That’s Awesome!
God views prosperity much differently than we do! Material things are not indicative of prosperity. True prosperity is knowing that God is with you. True prosperity is keeping His vision alive in your heart. True prosperity is not wealth itself but God’s favor, anointing, and power that work in your life to obtain it. Deuteronomy 8:18 says,
“Thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant.”
Joseph believed he was prosperous because he knew prosperity came from God, not man. He had an image on the inside that was not affected by circumstance, and it enabled Joseph to operate in faith. Instead of licking his wounds and complaining, Joseph served others and ministered wholeheartedly to their needs. As he diligently labored, God blessed the work of his hands.
If Joseph could do it, so can you. You have the same power dwelling on the inside of you that raised Jesus from the dead. Joseph didn’t have that. Begin to see yourself as God sees you, a prosperous person, regardless of your physical circumstances. Recognize and acknowledge the fact that God is with you, that you are anointed and highly favored. Serve others with all your heart as unto the Lord. Eliminate murmuring and complaining, and replace them with praise and thankfulness, knowing God will complete what He has begun in your life.
Joseph maintained his integrity. Recognizing the favor and presence of God in his life, Joseph’s master soon appointed him manager over his entire house. Genesis 39:6 says,
“And he left all that he had in Joseph’s hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person, and well favoured.”
Potiphar trusted Joseph completely! However, the master’s wife began to solicit this handsome young man to lie with her. This had to be very tempting for a slave in his position, but Joseph refused to give in—no matter what the cost! He maintained his integrity, but it was not rewarded. In fact, he got just the opposite. In her anger at Joseph’s rejection, Potiphar’s wife lied to the master.
“And it came to pass, when his master heard the words of his wife [false accusations against Joseph],… [he] took him, and put him into the prison, a place where the king’s prisoners were bound” (Gen. 39:19-20).
Joseph was able to maintain his integrity because he was not concerned with what man thought. He did not consider the benefits or consequences of his actions based on what Potiphar, his master, might do. Notice his reasoning in Genesis 39:9. It says,
“How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?”
His main concern was what God would think. He understood that he was accountable to God and that the fulfillment of his dream was completely dependent upon God.
Joseph lived a God-dependent life, and he lived it in the midst of great adversity. He knew his future rested in the hands of the Lord. Psalm 75:6-7 says,
“For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.”
Joseph’s life was about to take another turn. His dependence on God would open a door that would literally change history and become an even greater display of his character. The chief butler and the chief baker of the king of Egypt offended their lord, the king of Egypt, who then had them thrown in prison with Joseph. There they both had a dream but no one to interpret them (Gen. 40:1-7). Joseph demonstrated his trust and dependence in the Lord by stating,
“Do not interpretations belong to God? tell me them, I pray you” (Gen. 40:8).
The Lord gave Joseph the interpretation, and both came to pass. The butler kept his job, and the baker lost his head. In spite of the miracle of these interpretations, the butler said nothing of Joseph for two years. Most people would have given up, but not Joseph; he knew God’s plan would be fulfilled. Then the Pharaoh himself had a dream that all the magicians of Egypt could not interpret. God was about to take Joseph from rags to riches in one inspired moment. When the king learned of Joseph’s ability to interpret dreams, he sent for him and asked if he could interpret his dreams. Joseph was ready. He confidently answered in Genesis 41:16 saying,
“It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.”
Joseph, by the Spirit, interpreted the king’s dream. Equally as important, the king realized the Spirit of God was in Joseph. His response is recorded in Gen. 41:39-40, which says,
“And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art: Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou.”
Promotion had truly come from God. Immediately, Joseph found himself promoted to a position of power, second only to Pharaoh. It’s important to understand that Joseph had either been serving as a slave or was imprisoned for seventeen years after the time that his purpose was revealed and before it was fulfilled. It’s so tempting to become weary or impatient and abandon the vision for an easier way. But don’t do it and you’ll reap. Galatians 6:9 says,
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
If you continue to read in Genesis, you will find that Joseph remained dependent on God, and he never lost his way in the midst of such power and wealth. He kept his God-given vision alive, served others wholeheartedly, and remained totally dependent on God. Why, because he had a vision that had not yet been fulfilled. God was going to use this slave to save his family and a nation.
It was nine years from the time Joseph was placed in power before his brothers came to Egypt seeking help. Think of the options that were available to Joseph. If he wanted revenge, he could have taken it. He could have acted in pride and demanded an audience with his father and brothers, humiliating them and forcing them to bow before him. But Joseph did nothing; he refused to act in the flesh and remained dependent on God. How many of us would have exercised that kind of restraint? Not many.
Through Joseph’s example, I’ve recognized the importance of seeking God even more when things are going well. Prosperity and success will test your character infinitely more than hardship! When you’re in trouble and your back is against the wall, you know you need help. But did you know that success has corrupted more individuals than hardship ever has? It’s prosperity that often causes people to lose sight of their God-given vision or to attempt to bring it to pass through their own natural ability. Even with extreme wealth and power at his disposal, Joseph waited on the Lord and watched in faith as He brought the dream to fulfillment!
“And when Joseph came home, they [his brethren] brought him the present which was in their hand into the house, and bowed themselves to him to the earth.” (Gen. 43:26)

And Joseph reveals Himself to his brothers

It had been over twenty years since Joseph had last seen his father. When they met, they embraced each other and wept together for quite a while. His father then remarked, “Now let me die, since I have seen your face, because you are still alive

Genesis 45-47King James Version (KJV)
45 Then Joseph could not refrain himself before all them that stood by him; and he cried, cause every man to go out from me. And there stood no man with him, while Joseph made himself known unto his brethren.
2 And he wept aloud: and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard.
3 And Joseph said unto his brethren, I am Joseph; doth my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence.
4 And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt.
5 Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life.
6 For these two years hath the famine been in the land: and yet there are five years, in the which there shall neither be earing nor harvest.
7 And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.
8 So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.
9 Haste ye, and go up to my father, and say unto him, Thus saith thy son Joseph, God hath made me lord of all Egypt: come down unto me, tarry not:
10 And thou shalt dwell in the land of Goshen, and thou shalt be near unto me, thou, and thy children, and thy children's children, and thy flocks, and thy herds, and all that thou hast:
11 And there will I nourish thee; for yet there are five years of famine; lest thou, and thy household, and all that thou hast, come to poverty.
12 And, behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin, that it is my mouth that speaketh unto you.
13 And ye shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that ye have seen; and ye shall haste and bring down my father hither.
14 And he fell upon his brother Benjamin's neck, and wept; and Benjamin wept upon his neck.
15 Moreover he kissed all his brethren, and wept upon them: and after that his brethren talked with him.
16 And the fame thereof was heard in Pharaoh's house, saying, Joseph's brethren are come: and it pleased Pharaoh well, and his servants.
17 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, say unto thy brethren, This do ye; lade your beasts, and go, get you unto the land of Canaan;
18 And take your father and your households, and come unto me: and I will give you the good of the land of Egypt, and ye shall eat the fat of the land.
19 Now thou art commanded, this do ye; take you wagons out of the land of Egypt for your little ones, and for your wives, and bring your father, and come.
20 Also regard not your stuff; for the good of all the land of Egypt is yours.
21 And the children of Israel did so: and Joseph gave them wagons, according to the commandment of Pharaoh, and gave them provision for the way.
22 To all of them he gave each man changes of raiment; but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver, and five changes of raiment.
23 And to his father he sent after this manner; ten asses laden with the good things of Egypt, and ten she asses laden with corn and bread and meat for his father by the way.
24 So he sent his brethren away, and they departed: and he said unto them, see that ye fall not out by the way.
25 And they went up out of Egypt, and came into the land of Canaan unto Jacob their father,
26 And told him, saying, Joseph is yet alive, and he is governor over all the land of Egypt. And Jacob's heart fainted, for he believed them not.
27 And they told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said unto them: and when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived:
28 And Israel said, it is enough; Joseph my son is yet alive: I will go and see him before I die.

So how long from the promise to the revealing of the promise
I believe it is different for each individual

We can see in the lives of Abraham and Joseph they prospered in more areas then just the area of finance
I haven’t even talked about where in the Bible it says Abraham was Rich very rich
In today’s standards, he would have been a millionaire

Blessed yes, a millionaire not always so

Remember the real prosperity Gospel covers

What is true biblical financial prosperity

Let’s take a look at the 10 Commandments
Exodus 20King James Version (KJV)
20 And God spake all these words, saying,
2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
13 Thou shalt not kill.
14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
15 Thou shalt not steal.
16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbor’s.
18 And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.
19 And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.
20 And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.
21 And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.
22 And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.
23 Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold.
24 An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee.
25 And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it.
26 Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.

You’re asking what does the ten commandments have to do with the real prosperity Gospel

To answer that lets look at

Deuteronomy 28King James Version (KJV)
28 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.
6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.
8 The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
9 The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.
10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee.
11 And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
12 The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:
14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
16 Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field.
17 Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store.
18 Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
19 Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
20 The LORD shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.
21 The LORD shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to possess it.
22 The LORD shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish.
23 And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron.
24 The LORD shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
25 The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.
26 And thy carcase shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall fray them away.
27 The LORD will smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed.
28 The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart:
29 And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee.
30 Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof.
31 Thine ox shall be slain before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine ass shall be violently taken away from before thy face, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to rescue them.
32 Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long; and there shall be no might in thine hand.
33 The fruit of thy land, and all thy labours, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed alway:
34 So that thou shalt be mad for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.
35 The LORD shall smite thee in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore botch that cannot be healed, from the sole of thy foot unto the top of thy head.
36 The LORD shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone.
37 And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither the LORD shall lead thee.
38 Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather but little in; for the locust shall consume it.
39 Thou shalt plant vineyards, and dress them, but shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them.
40 Thou shalt have olive trees throughout all thy coasts, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with the oil; for thine olive shall cast his fruit.
41 Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity.
42 All thy trees and fruit of thy land shall the locust consume.
43 The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low.
44 He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail.
45 Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee:
46 And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed forever.
47 Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;
48 Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.
49 The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;
50 A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young:
51 And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which also shall not leave thee either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase of thy kine, or flocks of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee.
52 And he shall besiege thee in all thy gates, until thy high and fenced walls come down, wherein thou trustedst, throughout all thy land: and he shall besiege thee in all thy gates throughout all thy land, which the LORD thy God hath given thee.
53 And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, which the LORD thy God hath given thee, in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee:
54 So that the man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave:
55 So that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat: because he hath nothing left him in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee in all thy gates.
56 The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter,
57 And toward her young one that cometh out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly in the siege and straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall distress thee in thy gates.
58 If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD;
59 Then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance.
60 Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee.
61 Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
62 And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou wouldest not obey the voice of the LORD thy God.
63 And it shall come to pass, that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it.
64 And the LORD shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone.
65 And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the LORD shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind:
66 And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life:
67 In the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were even! and at even thou shalt say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of thine heart wherewith thou shalt fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.
68 And the LORD shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.

The Bible says were blessed when we keep the commandments

In the book of Jeramiah, we read the following

Jeremiah 29:11King James Version (KJV)
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Remember God has a plan for your life it’s a good plan its GODs plan
Throughout scripture we see where God blesses His people and wants to bless His people who are obedient to His word

There are no short cuts White to Black belt
Let me take you back to my martial arts past for a short story
When you walk into a Martial arts school now days you might find on the wall
Belts ranging from White to black belt
In one of the systems I trained in the order was
White
Yellow
Orange
Purple
Blue
Green
Brown
Black
Now imagine f you will seeing a picture of belts on a wall and a list of required material one must learn at each rank to think of qualifying for a test for that rank

What if I told you I would promote you to blackbelt if you only practiced the material from White belt level
Blue belt level and Brown belt level
You would think I was crazy aren’t the other belt ranks important and the lessons I should be learning at those levels are they not important
ALL RANK LEVELS are important on your journey from White to Black belt
You can’t pick and choose what you want to learn
The Same Goes with the word of God we can’t pick and choose which of the ten commandments we want to follow and which ones we don’t then ask God to bless us because we have obeyed two out of ten commandments

Let’s look in the book of Isaiah
Isaiah 1:19-20King James Version (KJV)
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

When you’re Willing and obedient again when you’re willing and obedient many of us have been willing yet not obedient to the will of God in our lives

Let’s look at the commandment
Thou Shalt Have no other Gods before me
How many of us can say we placed other people and things before God at times in our lives?
I can’t go to church on Sunday because that’s the day I wash my car
I cant go to church on Sunday that’s the day I go golfing

Lets look at the commandment
Thou shalt not worship any graven image

Thou shalt not take Gods Name in Vain

Remember the sabbath to keep it holy
What about the day of rest how many of us push ourselves because we have a deadline to meet and its more important then obeying God and we tell ourselves we can rest later until we ware ourselves out to the point of exhaustion and our body forces us to take DAYSSSS of rest
How many athletes push themselves to the point of injury and then have months of setbacks because we did not list to GOD and take care of the only body he gave us

Honor thy Father and thy mother
When we talk about honor thy mother and father does it not come with a promise of long life a side note here what happens when we don’t honor our mother or father

Thou shalt not kill
You think this would be a no brainer thou shalt not kill
Ephesians 4:26King James Version (KJV)
26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

Im not saying we don’t get angry from time to time but to kill or murder is a sin that effects your prosperity SAY what I have never heard that before
In America, we passed a law that said abortion was ok in the law of the land even though God said thou shalt not kill
And yes, abortion is murder

Not only Is killing a death of a person its all the decedents that would of come forth from that person for generations

Ask my wife I get angry when the TV commercials come on and tell us to save a whale or a dog or a cat
I keep telling my wife when they start having commercials about save a life stop abortion then I will pay attention
Think of the millions of lives that were lost due to abortion and how many of those people would of grown up and had pets in their homes I think it’s possible we would not need a pet shelter
But until we close the abortion clinics we never know how many pet lovers there are
We also have a baby boomer generation here in America all of which are approaching retirement and many need their social security to survive their retirement years
But since we have aborted
57,762,169 Abortions in America Since Roe vs. Wade in 1973
Only God knows how many people would be working today paying into social security

Thou shalt not commit adultery
What about the issue of adultery and how that effects a family let’s just look at the finances
All the time spent with that other person MONEY SPENT on the other person
Had you just spent that time and money on your spouse you would have a stronger marriage instead of braking up one
After a divorce
Separation from children alimony child support I have talked with many who make this statement I feel like I am supporting two households its crazy.
Who says SIN doesn’t cost you

Thou shalt not steal
What about thou shall not steal
You steal you get caught you go to jail court cost attorney fees time away from work more loss of income
Remember the story I told before of the man who simply lived a life
Serving one God the God of Abraham
Married to one wife for life
Owned one house
Worked one job
And was retired at age 55 NOW had he broken even one of Gods commandments we can only imagine the setback or total destruction

Thou shalt not bear false witness

Thou shalt not covet

What Happens to your prosperity
Spiritually mentally emotionally physically and financial when you break one of Gods commandments

Being Content
Paul Said I have learned to be content no matter where I am in life If I have Money in My pocket or my pockets are empty
We all like money in our pockets but we also know times when we tithe we give offering we pay all our bills but have no money in our pockets
I have a relative who calls from time to time with the same story we have week left to go in this month before next month when our check gets here and we can start eating again I guess its biscuits and gravy this week and yes I have heard this statement many times
Learning How To Be Content
Home > Biblical Perspective > Learning how to be content
I have always had a feeling that contentment was a critical component of having joy in life. As I have been learning this lesson on a deeper level, I have written about it (here and here). But lately I have been seeing a new angle on a few verses in Philippians 4.
11Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am.
12I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need.
Philippians 4:11-12 (NASB)
I added a little emphasis to the parts of verses above that I have been pondering. What exactly was Paul talking about when he said he knew how to get along with humble means and prosperity?
I am sure that for him it was a bit of a challenging process to be content living in humble means. He was basically on the fast-track to become a super-Pharisee – from what I understand they were a very materialistic bunch. Then Jesus steps in and his life is forever changed. And a few years later we see him in prison writing that we should “rejoice in the Lord always” and be content in every circumstance.
Breaking The Attachment To Things
The first way I look at the “know how” that Paul was referring to is more of an internal lesson that needs to be learned. It’s that things are just things. They come, they go. They don’t determine your value or worth and you can’t take them with you when you die. Paul had some of the most tremendous ups and downs. One minute he was shackled hand and foot in prison and the next he was staying in the King’s palace. He seemed to live the full spectrum of having a lot and having a little.
But, his outlook proves that he had broken his attachment to things. He didn’t consider his life a failure and quit when he frequently found himself in prison. And on the other hand, he didn’t allow more prosperous times to be his pinnacle achievement that he would hang his hat on. He had a goal to fulfill what God had called him to and the things were just peripheral, so as they came and went, he learned not to care too much. He was successfully living Matthew 6:33.
Practically Living With A Little Or A Lot
In addition to the internal lesson, I am starting to suspect that there is a practical element to what he is saying as well. Could it be that Paul is also referring to the resourcefulness required when times are tight? On a practical level, managing money is a lot different when you have a lot of it, than when you have a little. If Warren Buffett spent 2 hours of his work-day cutting grocery coupons to save $10 at the grocery store, it would be a pretty foolish use of his time. Those same 2 hours could probably be used to do what he does so well and make many thousands of dollars. On the other hand, if you are only making $100 a week, it might be worth spending 2 hours cutting coupons to save $10.
My wife and I both had the painful experience of living well (and spending more money than we had) and then having to be honest with ourselves by cutting our standard of living to what it really should be. It is not fun at all, but trying to live like you are “in prosperity” when you are in a season of “humble means” is a path for destruction.
What I have been getting out of Phil 4:12 is that if I continue to try to live like I am rich, when I am not, then I am only deceiving myself. For me, moving from having an abundance back down to humble means was a test from God. I think he wanted to see if I would still love Him if I didn’t have a lot of stuff. So I had to make many cuts to my lifestyle. I had to go without things I had previously taken for granted. And I had to start praying and trusting God for things that were previously commonplace.
Like I said, it was a painful process. But all along I knew that it was just a season and that God had more for me. And as a result of those lessons we have gone from debt-ridden over spenders to a couple who consistently spends less than they earn, has no consumer debt and who was able to save a down payment for their new house.
One Last Thing
Just to clarify, I don’t believe that contentment means settling for mediocrity. But rather it is being satisfied at whatever place in life God has us at, while trusting that He does have our interest at heart and that he does want to bless us and see us succeed. So, I am trying to learn these lessons that Paul did and be content in my present circumstances, while trusting that God is taking me from Glory to Glory.

Sometimes we find seasons in our lives where we need to go back to the basics and be reminded
GOD IS A GOOD GOD
GOD LOVES ME
GOD WANTS TO BLESS ME
YESSS all of that is true God is also a God of structure and order
WHEN OUR WANT TAKES OVER OUR NEED

I WANT the Million Dollar House so How can I get it with my $50,000 yearly income

The Bible says
God owns the cattle on a thousand hills all the Gold and silver is HIS

For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.
The silver is mine and the gold is mine,’ declares the Lord Almighty. Haggai 2:8

It All Belongs To God
This verse brings home to me the fact that no matter how much money I get, or how many things I collect, that it all belongs to God. It isn't mine, its His. Because of that I need to try and remember what God's priorities for His money are, and what mine should be

So how do you get the million dollar house with the $50,000 income
Biblically I Don’t Know but I have seen and heard how many try their desire outweighs the need

Whats the minimum Down payment to get into the house
Whats the minimum Down payment to get me into a new car
Whats the minimum payment I can pay on my credit cards and still live the lifestyle I want

THE theme here is minimum

The Bible says owe no man anything but love
Romans 13:8
“Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.”

Romans 13:8 Context

5Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. 6For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. 7Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour. 8Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. 9For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 10Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. 11And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

Many make the statements I would Give to the gospel if I had it to give but they are in so much debt that cant see clear to be GIVERS and Many work beyond what they thought were going to be their retirement years because they still have bills to pay
I am reminded of a story my mother told me of my Grandparents and how they saw Money matters
She told me in their lifetime they owned a few homes
One took them 5 years to pay it off that’s what I said 5 years and one they paid cash that right cash
They believed in tithing and living within their means
Now I know what your thinking they must have been very wealthy
My Grandmother worked for the post office and my Grand Father worked for the railroad
By the time I was born in 1967 they were close to if not already retired

Proverbs 24:27
“Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house.”

Proverbs 24:27 Context

24He that saith unto the wicked, Thou art righteous; him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him: 25But to them that rebuke him shall be delight, and a good blessing shall come upon them. 26Every man shall kiss his lips that giveth a right answer. 27Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house. 28Be not a witness against thy neighbour without cause; and deceive not with thy lips. 29Say not, I will do so to him as he hath done to me: I will render to the man according to his work. 30I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding;

It is important we establish the work in the field
What work has God called you to
What type of work are you doing now

WWhat is your understanding of seedtime and harvest
And do you understand the seasons do you even recognize the season your in now

I was watching an old western the other day and the main characters were talking about a new family that moved into the territory
So they went to meet the people after sharing pleasantries the new neighbors said yes we purchased this property over down yonder the land was very cheap and were going to work a large piece of land the main character asked just where is this piece of land and how did you get it so cheap so they took horse and buggy and rode off to show them the land
They were so proud they began to tell the story how they just spent their life savings but this new land ad the new opportunity was going to be worth
It and the main character of the story had been living in the area for many years said the land is worthless in raining season this entire valley floods I’m sorry to tell you but you have been swindled

Now had they been aware of the seasons and the effects of seasons on that particular piece of property wisdom says they would not of purchased it

THE SEASONS MAKE A DIFFERENCE
I have worked 17 years in the car Wash industry
Both South Florida Broward county and West Palm beach as well as on the west coast Southwest Florida Sarasota county and seasons make a Huge Difference

From thanks Giving to Easter most car washes in south Florida will tell you the SNOW BIRDS are here and were busy
Its at this time many car washes hire on extra help and some employees work 50 to 60 hours per week
But after Easter when the snowbirds head back up north and especially in the summer months some employees will be lucky to work 30 hours in a given week and if there was a lot of rain that week a 15 hour paycheck is not uncommon

The Bible says a wise man prepares
What does the Bible say about Planning

Bible verses about Planning for things
Genesis 41:34-36
Let Pharaoh take action to appoint overseers in charge of the land, and let him exact a fifth of the produce of the land of Egypt in the seven years of abundance. “Then let them gather all the food of these good years that are coming, and store up the grain for food in the cities under Pharaoh’s authority, and let them guard it. “Let the food become as a reserve for the land for the seven years of famine which will occur in the land of Egypt, so that the land will not perish during the famine.
Proverbs 6:6-8
Go to the ant, o sluggard, observe her ways and be wise, which, having no chief, officer or ruler, prepares her food in the summer and gathers her provision in the harvest.
Proverbs 13:16
A wise man thinks ahead; a fool doesn’t, and even brags about it!
Proverbs 13:19
Desire realized is sweet to the soul, but it is an abomination to fools to turn away from evil.

Proverbs 24:3-4
By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; and by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.
Proverbs 24:27

Proverbs 27:23
Know well the condition of your flocks, and pay attention to your herds;
Ecclesiastes 11:2
Divide your portion to seven, or even to eight, for you do not know what misfortune may occur on the earth.
Matthew 25:1-13
“Then the kingdom of heaven will be comparable to ten virgins, who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and five were prudent. For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, but the prudent took oil in flasks along with their lamps. Now while the bridegroom was delaying, they all got drowsy and began to sleep. But at midnight there was a shout, ‘Behold, the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’ Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps. The foolish said to the prudent, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the prudent answered, ‘No, there will not be enough for us and you too; go instead to the dealers and buy some for yourselves.’ And while they were going away to make the purchase, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast; and the door was shut. Later the other virgins also came, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open up for us.’ But he answered, ‘Truly I say to you, I do not know you.’ Be on the alert then, for you do not know the day nor the hour.”
Luke 12:16-21
And He told them a parable, saying, “The land of a rich man was very productive. And he began reasoning to himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, since I have no place to store my crops?’ Then he said, ‘This is what I will do: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years to come; take your ease, eat, drink and be merry.”‘ But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your soul is required of you; and now who will own what you have prepared?’ So is the man who stores up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”
Luke 14:28-30
For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost to see if he has enough to complete it? “Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who observe it begin to ridicule him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish. ‘”
1 Corinthians 16:1-2
Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I directed the churches of Galatia, so do you also. On the first day of every week each one of you is to put aside and save, as he may prosper, so that no collections be made when I come.
1 Timothy 6:7
For we have brought nothing into the world, so we cannot take anything out of it either.
Over and over we read through scripture be prepared

One thing My Wife and I learned was by every MAY we had saved up June July and August rent payments
So if I had one of those 35 hour week paychecks or one of those 9 hour week pay checks and yes I remember both we made it through the summer months we had three months of rent in the bank before the summer hit

So I say again we need to understand seed time harvest but also be understanding of seasons that we are in

Faith Based Films vs. Hollywood’s so called Christian film
In the Word of God, we read the blessings of the Lord overtake you
Many God fearing Bible believing Church Going tithe paying Christians
Get into making producing acting in FAITH Based Films because they have a message to get the Gospel out and God blesses the work of their hands

While some Hollywood elitist
Make So Calle Christian so called Bible films because ethey saw how much money one of those faith based films made by some unknown director and some unknown actors so why cant I do better as a Hollywood elitist who knows the industry
And their film BOMS at the box office
God wasn’t involved in their project

King James Bible
And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

When we look at Deuteronomy chapter 28 we see Gods blessing overtake you when your in His will following His Purpose and plan
There are many Christians who are walking inline with Gods purpose and plan for their life and like the movie industry a faith based film that gets a huge following can bring Financial blessings to the producer and the actors involved

But many get outside of Gods will and try to chase the prosperity and miss the whole point of Gods plan of blessing a believer
Money is not Evil but the word of God tells us clearly the LOVE of MONEY is the ROOT of all KINDS of Evil
1 Timothy 6:10King James Version (KJV)
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Pierced themselves through with many sorrows OUCH that hast to hurt
Don’t Fall In Love with MONEY Fall in Love with J E S U S
Follow Gods will plan and purpose for your life
If Gods plan for your life involves an industry that brings you Financial prosperity then God Has a plan for you that involves being Blessed with MONEY
Some wealthy people Give money to charities just to be known as philanthropist However Christ centered God Fearing people who are folling walking out a Vision or dream God Gave them they many time use their wealth to further the gospel
Many Who Have Dreams involving Large Visions understand to accomplish What God wants were going to need a lot of Finances coming in just look at many of the ministires you see on Christian television
The Vision the Call the Dream for many wont stop ubtill Jesus returns
Many ministires are growing reaching around the world
For a number of years to reach beyond your own town some misters went on Radio to fulfill the Great Commmission
Then came T V what once was called the oneyed Devil has been a tool many Miistires use tV to reach a broader audience
And today with Satalite Cable Internet Websites Cell phones the and numberous social media sites the ability for one preacher to reach one million peope in just a few minutes its amazing How far we have Gone in just the last 50 years in ways to reach the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ
If you go back just over 100 years many ministers reached the world with the gospel much the way of first century Christians Walking Ride Horse or a ship and God prospered the work to further the Gospel

And in Joshua we see and undertand why
Joshua 1:8King James Version (KJV)
8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

In Dueteronomy we see
King James Bible
But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

The book of Philippians was written while Paul was in prison in Rome awaiting trail. He wrote this letter to the church at Philippi to thank them for their support of his ministry. The Philippian church was established while Paul was on his second missionary journey. This church was the first Christian congregation in Europe.
The support that the Philippian church gave to Paul was evidenced through prayer, money and goods. As seen in chapter 4 Paul thanked them for the people who visited him with the gifts which were donated by the Philippians for the furtherance of the Gospel.
The book of Philippians is commonly believed to be written in the year 61 or 62 AD. This was still several years before his death in 68.
Chapter 4 of Philippians has several short themes. The chapter starts with an admonition to two of the church members to work out some differences. Paul then talks about joyfulness and prayerfulness. He thanks them for their financial assistance in his ministry and finally uses the chapter to send his greetings.

There are many who tell stories of how they just Got connected with their local church or some missions work or some TV evangelist and began to consistently support with prayer and finances and God began to bless them financially at work or they began to see an increase in their Business

GOD will Prosper the work of your Hands when your life is committed to His Work

I Remember one minister used to put it this way
Get involved in Gods House and He will get involved in yours
